Copyvio[edit]

The Plot Summary was a copyright violation of McEwan's page for the book. I have moved the article to a temporary location. We need someone to write up a real plot summary anyways, not just what it says on the back of the book. ~ clearthought 17:46, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:OnChesilBeach.jpg[edit]

Image:OnChesilBeach.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Is the "Translations" section necessary?[edit]

Everything looks just trivial to me. I mean, many famous books have translated versions, and I do not see how this book is so special that we need these (plain) details. Rwalle (talk) 05:13, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
