Japanese names[edit]

Since this is the english version of wikipedia, shouldn't their names be thier english ones? MindWraith 04:06, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

no. PanicPaladin 22:12, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it matters, you gimp

Story section[edit]

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but to say that something is written in Japanese and therefore unknown is amusingly naïve. I realize that whoever was writing the article didn't have access to a translation, but "unknown" and "I don't know" are two different things. At any rate, I'm busy at the moment, but volunteer myself to translate sometime in the next few days. --Julian Grybowski 11:58, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will agree - it sounds way too unprofessional and unenecyclopedic... I mean (okay this is extremely unlikely here but gets the point across) you don't see "I couldn't read the chinese!" on a medical note from china about how to operate on the brain. You see a english version. Angel Emfrbl 21:32, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning the article discusses the latter CP9 members being removed from the game, this would seem unlikely due to Franky being shown from the very start of the game.

Charatcers[edit]

Okay, we really don't need them AND/OR attacks. Not only does it make this page like scruffy, it also creates a long dull looking list. Angel Emfrbl 06:11, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gameplay[edit]

I(some guy who's in Japan right now) just made an accurate gameplay section based on actually playing and owning the game. I may put in a story section later, but I don't know Japanese well enough to know many of the finer details. Still, the basic plot is easy.

Confirmed for US[edit]

The game was confirmed for a US release a little while ago by 1up. Based on the description, it seems uncut. ryne11 20:14, 19 September 2007

You know you can edit the page yourself? --Zeno McDohl (talk) 02:34, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop undoing my changes Roman619[edit]

Roman619, I notice you keep removing my "Chaser in the US release" and Bon Kurei back to "Bon Clay". Stop please. NamcoBandai has officially confirmed he will be named Chaser in the English release of the game. It as it IS the correct information.

Bon Kurei is his official romanization, but it is not confirmed rather it'll be Kurei or Clay in the game yet. Till then, I'm keeping it his true name (which is Kurei) till it is revealed otherwise. If you still wanna be stubborn and undo my edits, that's fine, but I'll simply re do them as they are correct. A certain thing comes to mind... This article was primary for the Japanese version of the game, the English came later. Therefore primary all the names should be their Japanese counterparts, at least until full details on the english version come out. Even then, the English version AND the Japanese version, should both end up on the page, somehow. Therefore, removal of "Chaser in the US release" is incorrect.
But, I note, we know very little on the English version anyway right now, perhaps it would be better to wait until we got more info before editing the article? Angel Emfrbl (talk) 09:27, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Chaser in the US release" isn't really needed for the article at the time. You could always make a heading detailing changes/censorship. Roman619 (talk) 00:46, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I'll do that. But why are you re-arranging her name as "Vivi Nefertari" when it's "Nefertari Vivi" in the original?Buuhan1 (talk) 20:20, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed it back. If she has been renamed Vivi Nerfertari in the English versions, its news to me. I've never her called that... The same with Cobra her father and her mother Titi. Nerfertari Cobra and Nerfertari Titi. And I'll support the orginal name staying over the incorrect version. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 20:56, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the bit about Paulie as it is officially still speculation.Roman619 (talk) 05:41, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about ripping on you, Roman. You really are the one making this article so great, I can't NPOV for the life of me. Keep up the great work! Buuhan1 (talk) 06:17, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roman619 (talkcontribs) 06:19, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added US boxart[edit]

I realize you've expressed yourselves with wanting the article to mainly be the Japanese version centered...but it's a "game" and this is an English website, so I replaced the Japanese boxart (which I put up) with the official US one. It makes sense.

Little worried about Franky now, tho... Buuhan1 (talk) 08:48, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this was the Wikia, I'd worry about the change of artwork. Right now, I only consider the most up to date release as important on wikipedia. It would have been nice to have both on the site, but we're not a documentary site nor a comparisons site. Angel Emfrbl (talk) 09:54, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What's it about? What kind of game is it? Etc?[edit]

This article lacks the barest of information regarding a game. Is it a RPG? Adventure? How does it play? All there is is a bit of backstory and a clumsy narrative of the game content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.184.0.119 (talk) 12:45, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
