I'm not certain about what was meant by "bestial marriages" having to do with Ragnarok. I've played Ragnarok a little, and there are only classes, not "species", for players. And Ragnarok actually has marriages, it's not solely a player-created thing (like in Runescape). I've played MUDs where say, a dragon could be married to a human, provided that they are PCs. 204.130.214.143 05:49, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, the official international servers for Ragnarok, known as iRO, do NOT allow homosexual marriages.[1] [2] The official website for iRO says nothing about the marriage system, as it says nothing about much of the game's content and mechanics. So, the best I could come up with for citations is 1.) The iRO wiki, since it is the most comprehensive source of game content on the iRO servers, and 2.) A discussion on the official warpportal forums that directly addresses this limitation.

Congressional attention[edit]

It may be interesting to mention failed bill IC2-3684 circulated in the US House of Representatives in 2005, which sought to forbid on-line weddings between avatars of differing species. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Philopedia (talkcontribs) 01:24, 7 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]
