Comedy?[edit]

Definitely not a comedy (fly-in-fly-out prostitutes bound and gagged then dumped in the desert, army volunteers marched through the blast zone then suffering radiation poisoning) unless you are amused by anachronisms (where did that persistently reappearing telephone come from? what Australian said "checks all the boxes" or "payphone" in the '50s? . . . ) and highlighted "contemporary" references (Lord of the Rings, Lolita, Burgess and Maclean, Suez Crisis . . . ) Doug butler (talk) 21:09, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
