Evidence of hazard[edit]

Numerous satellites and upper stages containing substantial amounts of hydrazine have re-entered, including some in the US, with no claim of inordinate hazards. There is just no credible evidence that the satellite constituted a significant hazard. The claim was made that the hydrazine would be frozen. No thermal data to support this were presented. The tank would have been perforated or disrupted at some point during the entry and the hydrazine would have escaped and combusted or been dispersed.Danwoodard (talk) 19:39, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Intercept altitude?[edit]

Anyone know? The last figure I can see for the orbit was about 240km, but obviously it was decaying. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:47, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
