Requested move 26 August 2022[edit]

The result of the move request was: moved. per discussion consensus and WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. There were some concerns that a third topic may be in play which would lead to a need for a dab page, but this is not in keeping with WP:DISAMBIGUATION naming policy. We should avoid dab pages wherever possible, when a clear PTOPIC exists. I will boldly create a DAB page as a separate action. – The CIA operation is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC over Operation Rubicon, which should be moved to Operation Rubicon (police investigation) PhotographyEdits (talk) 16:51, 26 August 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Shibbolethink ( ) 15:48, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Steel1943 (talk) 22:33, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@PhotographyEdits: A primary topic claim, especially one without any evidence provided, needs full discussion. Steel1943 (talk) 22:33, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support or at least DAB, this one gets 960 views compared with only 85[[1]] for the police investigation. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:43, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename the police investigation and leave a dab page as the primary landing spot, as there seem to be 3 topics indicated on the hatnote -- 64.229.88.43 (talk) 06:34, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be more appropriate to link that one in a whatnot. Since the title is different, I don't think that third article would be a good reason to not have the Crypto AG ownership as the primary article. PhotographyEdits (talk) 10:53, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That article is using an alternate title, as it has multiple names, so it is actually a third "Operation Rubicon" topic article. This article topic also has multiple names, such as Operation Thesaurus or Operation Rubikon, which can serve as a WP:NATURALDAB or this could use a different disambiguator like Operation Rubicon (spy operation) -- 64.229.88.43 (talk) 15:23, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
