Oracle Exalogic[edit]

The Oracle Exalogic page was created and contained quite a bit of marketing speak.[1] Much of this was removed and an advert notice added for further cleanup.[2] This was reverted with a revision note of "cleanup".[3] Would welcome input. The removed text was hedged with "Oracle claims" however it did not appear to belong in the lead, maybe a "Marketing" section? Rich Farmbrough, 16:31, 25 November 2011 (UTC).
This article has no reliable sources and is essentially a press release. It should be stubbed pending addition of not-Oracle sources. Gerardw (talk) 13:31, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There are enough independent sources about Exalogic (just see Russian article: ru:Exalogic#Примечания), however, this text is written like a promo booklet. If one of users could be a proofreader (I have some gaps in English), I'll try to translate from Russian within 1-2 weeks, Bezik (talk) 17:24, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In its current state, the article is a string of buzzwords put together by a marketing person. Not only is this unhelpful to the reader, it reflects badly on the product. If the product really exists, let's have some real information about it instead. Maproom (talk) 14:25, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've translated my Russian article, could someone of experienced editors check the text and remove "advertising" banner? Bezik (talk) 09:00, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Bezik. What you wrote is very much better than what was there before. I had not even realised, from the old version, that Exalogic included hardware.
I have been through your text, improving the English grammar. Further improvements may be possible. I have not intended to change the meaning; if I have changed the meaning, it is my mistake. I have also removed the "advertising" banner. Maproom (talk) 10:38, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
