History[edit]

Think the term has been in use since around the early 1980s... AnonMoos (talk) 13:29, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

By now a somewhat outdated term[edit]

There's been an increasing Hispanic population, and an increasing ideological diversity among the whites, compared to what it was decades ago... AnonMoos (talk) 21:43, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • While true, I still hear plenty of people use the term. I think it'll be around until Orange County's politics are more comparable to those of Los Angeles County, because Angelenos seem to use this term the most. Sewageboy (talk) 04:56, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I wasn't clearer; I didn't necessarily mean that the phrase itself was no longer in use, but rather that the situation which originally caused the phrase to be coined is now significantly changed... AnonMoos (talk) 16:40, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Sewageboy (talk) 07:10, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
