Is this really a Dynastic Order?[edit]

I removed the claim that the Order of the Crown became a dynastic order after 1947. King Michael lists the Order of Carol I as a revived dynastic order on his website but there is no mention of the Order of the Crown.[1] In fact, the article says "With the signing of the new Fundamental Rules of the Royal House of Romania, His Majesty King Michael I resumed granting royal decorations."[2] That would imply that the king did not grant any decorations before 30 December 2007 when he created the new Fundamental Rules. The King's website specifically states that he decided to revive the Order of Carol I as the only dynastic order and to create medals to be awarded in other contexts.[3] Again that would seem to mean that the king does not award the Order of the Crown. If someone can find sources that demonstrate that the King has awarded the Order of the Crown since 1947, please add them to the article. Keep in mind that even if the King did give out the Order of the Crown after 1947, his website now seems to state that he no longer awards it. I could be wrong, but I wonder whether the claim that the Order of the Crown was converted from a state award to a dynastic order was not founded on the assumption that anything the King awarded before he was ousted in 1947 just remained his property in exile whether he actually used it or not. Now that King Michael has made his peace with Romania's republican government he might find it necessary to revise his claims to suit the present reality. Again, if someone can find a citation showing that King Michael still claims this particular order, update the article. For now, since the former King does not list the Order of the Crown on his website, I think we must assume it is no longer in use unless or until contrary evidence arises.Johnwilliammiller (talk) 08:50, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
