I've been looking everywhere for even general information about the fabled "Wine Equation" (see: http://www.nytimes.com/1990/03/04/us/wine-equation-puts-some-noses-out-of-joint.html?pagewanted=1) and I was dismayed to find nothing here on it, even though this article is tagged as a wine-related article. If anyone has even the slightest amount of information on the topic, I think it would be extremely noteworthy. The linked article is too old to give any kind of concrete information on the validity/success of Ashenfelter's approach, but it provides some useful background, which I suppose I can integrate into the article if nothing else is found.
