I took this out of the article. I cannot see this as having relevence and it really is not true.

  • "An ugly ornament would be best described as the Statue of Liberty found in the United States. As ugly as it is, americans frequently visit the monument and truly believe in its mystical powers." Donbas 09:51, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"perceived crisis"[edit]

What is the "perceived crisis" discussed under "modern ornament?" Ameriquedialectics 18:42, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting recent edits[edit]

I've reverted a series of recent edits, because they deleted some sourced content, but also because they were used as a vehicle to insert the work of the editor into the opening passages, and for that reason alone appear unduly weighted, if not self-promotional. Please feel free to restore well-sourced content. JNW (talk) 18:09, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Solomon's Temple[edit]

There was quite a lot of ornamentation in Solomon's Temple. Could someone that knows how make mention of that somewhere on the page? 2600:1700:8830:8DF0:796B:EE0D:9749:94DE (talk) 19:16, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Since we only have imprecise textual descriptions of it, and it isn't that early by Ancient Near East standards, not really. Johnbod (talk) 23:37, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

more diversity and depth needed[edit]

it seems like there is a lot of information about region or etnicity specific ornaments on the pages with the same name but in different languages. This page definitely needs more diversity from various countries and regions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oyu45 (talkcontribs) 04:58, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
