Dubious claims[edit]

I am not at all sure that this article should not be nominated for deletion. The referencing is entirely worthless, consisting of broken links, invalid refs (German wikipedia), unverifiable refs (University of Budapest with no document details) and web pages with no provenance. The claim he invented the transformer is surely preceded by Faraday by a long way and the wattmeter must be dubious too - one was invented by Edison. SpinningSpark 00:41, 1 October 2010 (UTC) Please read in Encyclopedia Brittanica about Blathy and his co-inventors. Accordingly they invented the moderrn transformer. Fact: Induction coils and transformers are not the same. All transformers are induction couils, but not all induction coils are transformers. Faraday didn't know about transformators. Transformer is a device for trans-forming AC. During his life, Faraday hadn't knowledge about any mathematical/logical relationships of the phenomenon. He didn't know what AC tranforming means. That's why all real sources called Faraday as the inventor of induction coils. Stop Jingoism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.2.20.31 (talk) 12:22, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jingoism created that serious semantic error. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.2.20.31 (talk) 12:27, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SpinningSPark you should be deleted. Please use google if you are dubious about a person. Just because there is not enough references it does not mean this person is worthless Wikibetyár (talk) 14:22, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
