Talk:Ottawa City Council

The article on Ottawa City Council is extremely deficient since it fails to list the members of Ottawa City Council's Board of Control councillors. In contrast to the ward aldermen, these three councillors were the top vote-getters in an at large (city-wide) election. The elections of the three Board of Control councillors was abolished only in 1978. The names of the "controllers" should be added to this article for each election. Rename to "List of ...."[edit]

This article (at least in its current iteration) is very clearly a list, and does not talk about the process involved in joining Ottawa City Council, or of changes in the structure of the council (nor does it need to). The article's name should reflect this. Therefore, it should be renamed "List of ..." --RealGrouchy 07:13, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I concur - given that Government of Ottawa directs readers to this entry for the whole municipal government, the past councils list should be elsewhere. It's pretty surprisingly that Wikipedia has virtually no coverage of the city government aside from the council.Padraic 18:05, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your Moment in History[edit]

Dear Municipality of Ottawa Elected Officials,

Please consider soberly, your individual places in history.

Are you truly willing to ignore what made our country great, for an artificial peace, that may be short-lived, due to the self-seeking neglect of your sacred duties?

I am praying for each of you to have a moment of clarity in your conscience, and proceed with wisdom instead of dismissive, arrogance and malice.

May God have mercy on your souls. 64.180.23.78 (talk) 20:39, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
