Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Draft: Cruise Room be merged into Oxford Hotel (Denver, Colorado). I think that the content in the Cruise Room article can easily be explained in the context of the Oxford Hotel, of which the bar is a part, and the Hotel article is of such a small size that the merging of Cruise Room will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. I have no issue with that, seems like a logical idea as long as someone creates some redirects after. I would wait for a reply from Justapersona before doing anything however. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 00:20, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Works for me.--ukexpat (talk) 00:46, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. I guess I kind of hate that idea, because the Cruise Room is such a completely different character, here in Denver. I can see how logically, it appears to be nothing but a room in a building, but it's character, preservation, and fame are very separate from the (old, stodgy & fairly un-popular) hotel, and also-unrelated chain restaurant, physically containing it. If you look at the images on Google, you can see why. I think a lot of people who go to the Cruise Room are only vaguely aware of the hotel.
However, I'm newish to Wikipedia, so maybe that's a normal way to manage such things. Oval Office is a separate article from the White House, but they're huge articles. So, maybe this is partially about size? ...Thoughts? Glad to learn. Thank you. Justapersona (talk) 17:24, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@BeenAroundAWhile: My article Draft: Cruise Room was rejected as not noteworthy enough. I've moved it into this article as you suggested. Thanks for your help. Justapersona (talk) 20:17, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
