Pronunciation[edit]

How is oxime pronounced? Does it rhyme with steam or chime?

I have only heard it pronounced rhyming with steam. -- Ed (Edgar181) 16:15, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The dictionaries I've checked seem to agree (M-W and OED). --Itub (talk) 17:02, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Expert Attention[edit]

The article seems to be unclear in some sections. There isn't enough detail in the Reactions sections, and I cannot understand the Other Applications section. It also seems incomplete. I'm not an expert, and this is mainly a good faith tag. Shashwat986talk 19:34, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have removed the "confusing" tag because I would say the article is currently pretty clear - I would agree that the "Reactions" section needs to be broken up a little for clarity but that calls for a section tag rather than tagging the whole article. Please cite specific issues to be addressed to help improve things. Jmackaerospace (talk) 09:23, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Popular culture[edit]

Could an established editor expand on the references to oximes in popular culture, such as how the adjective form "oximated" was used in a particular Eurovision 2015 song? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:C445:1589:293E:E86C:5B76:EA3E (talk) 04:53, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
