The Legal Admissibility section is making general statements about invalidity of PAdES in court proceedings but the cited sources seem to suggest that it's only valid for the UK jurisdiction. This should be more clearly explained as each country may have their own practices. Cloud200 (talk) 09:51, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Imho, electronic signatures are only equivalent to handwritten signatures if those are a qualified electronic signature (see article 49 of eIDAS regulation). Should the sentence in [X/C/P]AdES be changed consistently? (talk) 12:07, 03 Dec 2017 (UTC)

Additional to the mentioned above, eIDAS qualified electronic signatures make them valid across EU countries (article 3), but that does not mean specific country rules allow valid signatures with other requirements just for them. --138.94.57.205 (talk) 04:09, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

UK is not an EU member anymore, by the way. --186.64.183.178 (talk) 13:54, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is difficult to comment on this. The article does not refer at all to any UK source, but to a EU regulation. All sources refer to publications by EU bodies. Please be more precise. ScienceGuard (talk) 13:25, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
