Confusing wording?[edit]

"Though trackage remains on the bridge, it is no longer in use nor has it been for a number of years as is the case with much surviving PE trackage in the area." .. how many years? If the UP added welded rail in 2003 as the section above suggests, this might confuse the reader. Perhaps reword to clarify? Also should this be in the NRHP project? There may also be a interurban subproject of Trains that this might go in ... ++Lar: t/c 23:50, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going by memory. The bridge is on a line which goes up and over another line which is still in use. I never saw a train on that bridge in all the years I lived in the area. There were a lot of abandoned PE lines in the area as well; I lived in Torrance from 1965 to 1990 and never saw so much a MOW speeder on any of them. I believe that most of the trackage is now gone. I'll tweak the statement. Thanks! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:36, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Here's the link to the 2003 local upgrade. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:38, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's best not to work from memory... see WP:RS, and see if you can dig up some references somehow. Another way to resolve any discrepancy about routing or what is where, etc. is to supply a map. TIGER is a good source of free maps. Hope that helps. ++Lar: t/c 14:46, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
