Gameshow Marathon[edit]

Rather than update the Gameshow Marathon results, I decided to just remove the results and leave the link to the show's article. People who really want to know the results can see them there.

Marriage[edit]

She married a Mr Page - this presumably now makes her Paige Page..... - ChrisTheDude 09:48, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

She has chosen to keep her Maiden name to keep that from happening. --Hourick 04:51, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Too bad, I could have started a website called "The Paige Page Page."--Kento 12:08, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On the Trading Spaces set, they referred to her as MPDP. I need to find a reference for that. -- mikehillwig 21:16 18 jan 2007. —Preceding comment was added at 02:17, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of current work.[edit]

Added current work, but will eventually need an expansion once she starts working more. --Hourick 04:53, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Censorship[edit]

At the level of precedent, it's not a good thing to have well-sourced material relevant to a public figure's public conduct, along with potential or claimed impact on that figure's career, removed, along with (dubious) legal threats. User Carrystory deleted material relating to Paige Davis' conduct at the Broadway AIDS benefit, although each item was sourced to publications of wide distribution, and counterclaims were also duly given.

Now, I have no interest in the subject of Paige Davis (I wouldn't have known who she was if I hadn't random-surfed the article), but this is very bad wikipractice. The section deleted in mid-July should, I think, be restored for the integrity of the article. At the very least, there should be discussion as to how the deleted material relates to Wikipedia policies on the biographies of living persons. Should the deleted material be restored? DavidOaks (talk) 15:16, 8 January 2008 (UTC)DavidOaks (talk) 03:50, 9 January 2008 (UTC)(clarifying edits)[reply]

It's nice to have someone else notice. I have felt all along that the deletion was unjustified, and worked hard to source the material before restoring it the first time, but when the user you mention kept deleting it — with, as you observe, legal claims that are dubious at best given the sourcing — I decided to let it go for the time being rather than get into a personal edit war. Obviously I would favor restoring it. (Besides, her claim that being dismissed was unrelated to the issues mentioned is certainly underscored by the fact that they just announced they're bringing her back to the show. :) Lawikitejana (talk) 01:25, 10 January 2008 (UTC) Update: Restored the section, with some edits, and added more references. Apparently back then I either didn't have the newspaper database access I have now, or I was too unversed in searching it to find all the relevant articles. Found way more than I'm going to add now, and added some other career info, such as cabaret show.Lawikitejana (talk) 03:02, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
