Objection to proposed deletion[edit]

This camera is notable for being one of the few cameras in the Four Thirds System, and is linked to from that page. If this article is deleted then it will no longer be possible to have a comprehensive list of all of the Four Thirds System cameras. It may well be a rather commercial argument, but the Four Thirds System is somewhat controversial and noteworthy as being a semi-non-proprietary system, as opposed to all the other proprietary systems from Canon, Nikon, Pentax, etc.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 can also be considered noteworthy as an indication that Panasonic intends to stick it out with the Four Thirds System, also because they announced new lenses for the Four Thirds System along with this camera.

If it's absolutely necessary, I could probably flesh out the article somewhat, but I don't really have the time. --RenniePet (talk) 23:50, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does it share components with the Olympus E-410/510?[edit]

I don't know where this definite info comes from? Simon Joinson 'suspects' the L-10 and E-410/510 share mirror box and sensor'. Quote: "Like the L1 the new model is the fruit of the partnership between Panasonic and Olympus, and once again it features a Live MOS sensor and SSWF dust removal filter, (we don't have definite information yet, but the mirror box and sensor are, we suspect the same as the E-410)." http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonicdmcl10/

I bring it up as I think people may be thinking that as the Panasonic L-1 shared bits with an Olympus model, that so must this body. I'd also thought that the l-10 had a different 10MP LMOS sensor than the Olympus E-3 or the E-x10 bodies?
