"It" or "they"[edit]

The illustration clearly shows two holes at the back of the skull. Do they serve the same function of allowing "emissary veins" to pass through, or are they asymmetrical in that one of the holes allows a different type of vessel passage?

Also, why does a branch of the occiptal artery only "occasionally" pass through this route? --82.21.97.70 (talk) 06:09, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
