I really feel you need to site Park Hills History with this article as this is part of the history. https://mostateparks.com/park/missouri-mines-state-historic-site

The fact that in the 1930'S AND THE 1940's was how they got on the map. It was not until the ban lead that caused the mining to the stopped.
