The history text was based on that by Hoines at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/oliver.merrington/lidos/phlido1.htm. We have permission to use this text but I am in the process of writing a new history section which will be added shortly. Some of it seems to have been restored here: [1]. The source says, "In 1986, the abolition of the GLC led to the lido being taken over by the London Residuary Body. ...The City of London (now Corporation of London), subsequently took over the operation of the lido, together with Hampstead Heath, in 1989."

The Outdoor Swimming Society 2008 festive dip - please discuss before removal.[edit]

Checking the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccNPL2jEExk, it appears to meet the guidance at WP:YT as there are no copyright problems and the relevance to the article is clear, being shot at the Lido and about the Outdoor Swimming Society. In terms of value, a video of the Lido shows the nature and layout of the pool in a way that photographs cannot.
