Unnotable

Tell me EXACTLY what is unnotable about the article? has anything of it's sort been made before? If yes, I'll mark it for CSD MYSELF, if NO, then find a PROPER reason and POST it on the talk page please. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 19:56, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

No references to the application. ToxicWasteGrounds (talk) 19:58, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Well.... I just started on the article..... I'm still in the process of adding content. PLEASE stop taggni, before understanding. And lack of references DOES NOT make it Unnotable.. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 20:02, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Ok, sorry :( ToxicWasteGrounds (talk) 20:02, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

No problems. Please do read the comments I've left on your RfA page.. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 20:10, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
  • Rsrikanth05: lack of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" does make a subject non-notable. Don't complain that you just started: don't start an article until you have the refs! ToxicWasteGrounds: the phrase I usually use is "no evidence of notability". Now here is a perfect case for actually starting an AfD discussion. Let us see if you can do it properly. Incidentally, I recommend Twinkle for deletion nominations especially AfDs. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:50, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Hey hey hey, I'm for that, take it to an AfD, atleast that way others can give their input. BUT NO Prods, and CSDs for article that you have no idea about. The only reason I feel this would be notable enough is that it seems to be the first commercial quadricopter toy on Earth, along with the fact that it can be controlled with [what the rich might call], an everyday item like an iPhone or iPod Touch.. --Rsrikanth05 (talk)

Parrot AR Drone, though very cool, is not the first commercial quadricopter toy on Earth: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/rc/a5b0/ - InternetMeme (talk) 11:39, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

First with a camera that is controlled with an iPhone ? -_Rsrikanth05 (talk) 08:33, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Nice job "ToxicWasteGrounds" and "InternetMeme", it's people like you that have made wikipedia a huge headache to add anything to. What is your purpose again? to make sure wikipedia doesn't get to big or useful? are you afraid they're going to run out of space? Are we reaching some sort of nebulous knowledge barrier, where if wikipedia has too much info then it collapses in on itself? someone really needs to start a more lenient wikipedia type page before wikipedia itself becomes irrelevant. Dredwolff (talk) 17:42, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Please be a bit civil and DO NOT accuse other users for their actions. They were all done in good faith.. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 13:39, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks : ) I should have mentioned that I support keeping the article, I just wanted to point out that there's another quadricopter available. I think this article is notable, as a quick google will show you how many people are talking about the device.

The Drone as Privacy Catalyst

Tim Pool makes it notable. So does Calo, M. Ryan (December 12, 2011). "The Drone as Privacy Catalyst" (PDF). Stanford Law Review Online. 64. Stan. L. Rev. Online (29). Stanford Law School. ISBN 0038-9765. ISSN 1939-8581. Archived from the original on December 31, 2011. Retrieved December 31, 2011. Associated today with the theatre of war, the widespread domestic use of drones for surveillance seems inevitable. Existing privacy law will not stand in its way. It may be tempting to conclude on this basis that drones will further erode our individual and collective privacy. Yet the opposite may happen. Drones may help restore our mental model of a privacy violation. They could be just the visceral jolt society needs to drag privacy law into the twenty-first century. {{cite journal}}: Check |isbn= value: length (help); Cite has empty unknown parameters: |trans_title= and |month= (help) Happy New Year. --Pawyilee (talk) 16:47, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
