The Times obit says he "re recorded" lines for the "Two Tribes" single rather than the original lines from Protect & Survive being sampled.

True, if you listen to album version of "Two Tribes" you can hear him after he's finished his lines ask the studio engineer if the recording is all right at one point. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.55.42 (talk) 00:03, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Is he really dead?[edit]

I'm fully aware of the...unreliablity of Wikipedia. Is this actuaaly true or Vandalism? [Unsigned]

Yes. Check the footnotes for obituaries. A sad loss. What a man. David L Rattigan 16:00, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Are E4 still using his voice in their promos or have they just got someone who sounds like him? EddieBernard 08:57, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As they are pre-recorded, I would assume the originals are still in use. --Kiand 09:03, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As of 4 February 2007 they are still using his voice, and the voice clips refer to items which surely can't have been recorded before he died - unless E4 have amazing planning. I can only assume they've got someone who sounds like him. It's all a bit strange. Arcturus 23:08, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's Peter Dickson now on E4, and he sounds just like Patrick Allen. 86.31.79.215 22:26, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A bit like him, anyway. 2.28.151.167 (talk) 01:13, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Commercials?[edit]

Wasn't he in a series of adverts for Barratt Homes in the 80s? He'd arrive by helicopter and then do a piece to camera.86.182.44.184 (talk) 10:28, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Youtube! It was actually earlier. An Allen/Barratt advert from 1979.86.182.44.184 (talk) 10:30, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
