Recreating the article[edit]

I started the article again. There were several attempts (not by me), but the article was deleted each time. Seeing the log, it seems that there were no sources. It's not the case here, the sources from well-known French newspapers at the time of his death shows that he was a very prominent French climber, at least in France.13:17, 17 November 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hervegirod (talkcontribs)

Really no need for deletion here. Edlinger is one of the greats of modern climbing. Alongside John Bachar, Wolfgang Güllich and Jerry Moffatt he's probably the most influental figure (from the 1980s) in the development of sport climbing.
