Paul Harris was gay[edit]

Should we mention it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.235.0 (talk) 16:35, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

if you can't document it, don't mention it Nfgusedautoparts (talk) 03:46, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My Road To Rotary[edit]

I am currently working my way through Harris' autobiography and plan to gradually expand and update the biography section. Nfgusedautoparts (talk) 14:02, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jean Thomson Harris' role in the eventual admission of women[edit]

She helped to make women an important part of Rotary, eventually leading to all Rotary Clubs admitting women as full members

I appreciate the sentiment, but the integration of female members didn't occur until 1987 and was the result of a US Supreme Court decision. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotary_International#Female_membership

This seems pretty attenuated a connection; taking it just one step further, one could claim that Paul Harris' relationship with Jean Harris is responsible for "eventually leading" to female membership. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.7.193.4 (talk) 13:58, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
