ECW[edit]

"An announcement was made on Sunday, April 24, 2006 that the WWE would be reviving ECW as a full time promotion. Rumors emerged that Heyman, along with Tommy Dreamer, would play major roles in the new ECW."

Could we please have a source for that?? Because I know one fact there is wrong, April 24th was a monday not a sunday. What else is wrong? Mathmo 11:49, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Height[edit]

He appears to be an inch taller then Rob Van Dam who is booked at 6 foot and according to most sources this is actually an accurate height for Van Dam so it looks like Van Dam is 6 foot legit. That puts Haymen at about 6 foot 1 so i entered that as his height....if anyone feels this is incorrect feel free to change it

Interview?[edit]

Ok, I know him, he lives a street down from me, and I was readin some stuff on this article, and I was thinking about how many things I could tell if were true or not, but since there is no original research, should I do an interview with him and put it somewhere else and then put the info siting it to my interview?

Anyways here's some info I know:

He does have "Pauly" written on the back of his car He has two step children He technicly lives in Greenville, Westchester County, New York. His mail adress is Scarsdale though.**edited to ask "stepchildren?** He has 2 children, a boy and a girl. Grew up in Greenville Went to Edgemont Jr./Sr. High School PokeOnic (talk) 00:11, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That would be neat, if you and Paul are both into doing it.
Also, just an idea.. I don't really follow the wrestling stuff online, but I do know there are lots of wrestling sites and zines out there. If you're into getting such an interview published you might like to check them out, I'm sure one or another of them would really like to feature an interview with Paul Heyman. Heidenreigh[edit]

Wasn't Heyman part of a handicap casket match with Heidenreigh against Undertaker? 211.28.125.161 21:07, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He was a manager.

Actually, he was a participant, as it was a handicap match. He was the one that got closed in the casket, after Heidenreich "freaked out" (he was supposed to be afraid of small places), tagged him in and run through the crowd. This was all part of the build-up of Taker vs. Heidenreich casket match for RR2005

Vandilism[edit]

This article was vandilized, and I fixed it originally said: "On October 31st Paul Heyman dressed as a gorrilla and had sex with another gorrilla under the ring while RVD pinned The Big Show for the fourth time."

This article seems to have been repeatedly targeted for vandalism today, and honestly I would recommend temporarily locking it. 20:42 EST, 12/5/06 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Beansy (talkcontribs) 01:43, 6 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]
LOL "sex with a gorilla"?--989 RVD 00:08, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dressed as a gorilla and had sex with another gorilla? That is honestly the best vandalism I've ever seen on wikipedia since the "Deathly Hallows" article in Draco Malfoy's page claiming his family was still "butt buddies" with Voldemort. AndarielHalo 01:31, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sabu or RVD?[edit]

Wasen't it Rob van dam vs paul heyman?

No, It was Sabu, if referring to the tag team match, then yeah.

Heyman IS Dismissed[edit]

Heyman has been dismissed from his role as head of ECW Creative. Not known whether he's been released from WWE. Kayfabe is poor PPV. Truth is conflicts of interest with Vince. According to PWI, Heyman has been released from WWE.

Paul Heyman biography[edit]

Several items for Heyman. First of all, so that the source is known, my name is Jim Geffen (no relation to David). I am a former WWE consultant and worked a lot with Heyman's staff.

Heyman's real name is Paul Heyman (not Paul Heyman Jr)

He lives in Scarsdale, NY (not Madison, NY)

He did NOT debut as a manager in 1985, nor did he go to Florida in 1986. Heyman debuted as a manager for the Northeast Independents on January 2, 1987, introducing the Paul E. Dangerously character. Heyman was 21 years old at the time. He had spent 2 years as a play by play announcer on several Northeast indies, as well as a Producer of shows at the world-famous nightclub Studio 54.

Heyman is 5'11, not 5'9.

Heyman was named by ADVERTISING AGE as one of TOP 100 MARKETERS in the year 2000.

Hope these pieces of information help. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jim Geffen (talkcontribs) 17:43, 18 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Correction[edit]

The third-to last paragraph in the Return of ECW section reads at the end: Heyman's character has also been shown as having a bias toward the "New faces of ECW" (wrestlers who never wrestled for the original incarnation) instead of the "ECW Originals". The only "New face of ECW" he had not shown bias towards was CM Punk, possibly due to Punk's current face persona."

This can now be changed to "Punk's then current face persona" because he has now turned heel and joined the New Breed. 24.236.142.218 03:50, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Big Show[edit]

Paul Heyman helped the Big Show win the WWE Championship in Survivor Series 2002 and then again in ECW for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. Shouldn't this be noted? Vermon CaTaffy 8

Old ECW[edit]

The old ECW section is meager. He revolutionized a lot of thing in American wrestling. Can someone spruce that up?

Orphaned references in Paul Heyman[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Paul Heyman's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "OWOW":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 20:55, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jr?[edit]

If his father's name is Richard Heyman, why would he be Paul Jr? That seems fairly odd. Sadistik (talk) 08:29, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nickname re: Undertaker's streak![edit]

Doesn't he call himself the 1 behind the 1 in 21-1 or something? PeterMan844 (talk) 13:42, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please add "The One Behind The One In Twenty One And One" under nicknames[edit]

I agree with the person above me. Heyman constantly refers to himself as The One Behind The One In Twenty One And One. I think this should definitely be added as one of his nicknames. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.148.204.11 (talk) 20:20, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Samoan Swat Team[edit]

The SST is correctly listed as a team he's managed, but shouldn't Samu and Fatu then be listed under the wrestlers he's managed? Is there some reason they aren't? 68.51.193.141 (talk) 02:10, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 20 September 2015[edit]

I actually live in Paul Heyman's community. Paul is a single father You have listed Marla Heyman as his spouse. Marla "Heyman" is not his spouse. He is a single parent. You can confirm this with Heyman's office by writing to Michael247@Looking4Larry.com or Contact@Looking4Larry.com

I am happy to make the edit, or to simply bring it to your attention.

Thank you. Daniel Gordon Scarsdale (Edgemont), New York — Preceding unsigned comment added by GordonWHYWHYWHY (talkcontribs) 17:38, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Heyman is unmarried and never has been married but Wikipedia lists Marla as his spouse, which is incorrect. They've never been married. 2604:6000:E640:BA00:4827:3409:C06E:9442 (talk) 17:23, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - Our article does not say they are married - you don't have to be married to be a spouse - Arjayay (talk) 18:35, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

April 22 2004 to Jan 6. 2005 missing.[edit]

This entire section of Heyman's career, which included at least two major storylines, is missing from his biography, which seems to imply that he left in March 2004 after getting drafted to Raw, and then came back when WWE began promoting the first ECW One Night Stand event.

This skips over the main feud heading into the Great American Bash 2005, where Heyman was the mastermind behind the Dudleys abducting Paul Bearer, as well as the entirety of his time managing Heidenreich, which resulted in Heyman again being written off TV after losing a handicap casket match.

These events are noteworthy, as they're covered in detail in the articles about Jon Heidenreich, ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Heidenreich#Feuding_with_The_Undertaker_(2004%E2%80%932005) ) and Great American Bash 2004, ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_American_Bash_(2004) ), as well as being mentioned in off-site sources like OWW: http://www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/bios/p/paul-heyman/, cagematch.com: https://www.cagematch.net/?id=87&nr=275, https://www.cagematch.net/?id=87&nr=161 .and certainly countless other sources that report on wrestling. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:CC9D:3F00:5432:FDBE:7D14:BBF9 (talk) 06:35, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
