korte Lærdomme?[edit]

Currently translated as "short learnedness", which well might be the literal meaning but doesn't sound right in English. Google translate suggests "doctrine" for Lærdomme but that again doesn't match (what I understand to be) the intended maning. Would idioms, maxims, or aphorisms be better translations? Hmmm, it also sounds weird in contemporary Danish, and I think all of those suggestions fall short of conveying the content. I would prefer "wisdom", if learnedness cannot be allowed. ·maunus · snunɐɯ· 02:05, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Wisdom sounds better to me, but I will leave the final judgment to you since you know the two languages and the intended meaning better than I. Feel free to remove the clarify tag, which was meant to draw editors' attention and not direct any specific change. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 18:52, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
