Makes sense to me. I know nothing about the subject, but assuming someone does (or eventually will), I understand why we'd leave it. Should it be marked as a stub? I'm new here, and don't know how that works, or when it ought to happen. Jwrosenzweig 20:15 22 Jul 2003 (UTC)

Allied Therapies use of word

In Australia (and possibly elsewhere) there seems to be widespread use of the word plinth to describe a rectangular treatment table or bed used for patients - it is commonly used by Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists and the like and by the manufacturers of such equipment. However, when searching I only came across the architectural definitions - and this was surprising. I'm guessing that perhaps the large rectangular block aspect might suggest that early physical treatments were conducted on similar blocks....but could locate no reference to such. Should this aspect of the word and its use should be included somewhere in Wikipedia? SS8842 23:57, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Moved unsourced statement to talk page

Merger proposal
