How deep is the river Siak

dunno. too many urban myth saying 'it's an abyss' or sumthing like that. one thing for sure, the river is deep enough for large ships to enter.Boshiaki 10:19, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly, this entire article is written by someone with English as a second language, which is to say much of the syntax, tense uses, and overall construction is just a little off. The meaning is clear, but the English is slightly wrong. I will try to find some time to get into this article and fix it, and I invite anyone to attempt some rewrites as you see fit. City area[edit]

History[edit]

There's no mention of the Gasib Kingdom here, which I think there should be. I'm fairly sure the Sultanate of Siak didn't exist in 1605 - at least, not under that name, and not as a sultanate - but my Bahasa Indonesia isn't good enough to read the sources.
