All it means is that the English word has its origins in Greek - means nothing to the non-European languages. Sumerian or Hungarian or Chinese is just as valid for the roots of the word in those languages. I'm sure the Maya have a word for this very common symbol.50.111.2.6 (talk) 23:55, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
