dubious assertion - "The imagery comes from the Underground Railroad"[edit]

First off, this reference seems completely unsupported by citation and introduces "Underground Railroad" as a relevant reference.

"All you need is faith to hear the diesels coming" -- ok, no diesels in Underground Railroad days. "Picking up passengers from coast to coast" -- doesn't say "South to North". And on and on. While there may be an interesting dissertation somewhere that the "Underground Railroad" spawned a special association for "Railroads" as vehicles of deliverance - please cite. It's a Gospel song. You don't thank Harriet Tubman, you thank the Lord.

My $0.02.

Use of the term "character" to describe a demonstrably RL, non-fictional person is inaccurate (at least).

Viz., "with characters such as Harriet Tubman going back time and again to the South to show people the route of the railroad."

I was just listening to this, and am highly inclined to agree with the above comments based on the actual lyrics. The mere fact that the "Underground Railroad" existed historically does not mean that therefore this song is about it. Railroad imagery existed before and after the "Underground Railroad." Going by the actual lyric, the text itself, "People Get Ready" is not — as this entry insists — a "gospel-influenced" political song, but rather, quite simply, a gospel song. Such imagery is found throughout black and white spirituals alike, as in "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" and "I'll Fly Away" — not to mention Bob Dylan's "Slow Train Coming." Request: change date for National Recording Registry List Selection to 2015[edit]

Dear user,

I have noticed that the date for the selection of "People Get Ready" for the National Recording Registry is supposed to be 2015 not 2016. (Reference: https://www.loc.gov/programs/national-recording-preservation-board/recording-registry/complete-national-recording-registry-listing/  ; see "People Get Ready")

Since I am new to Wikipedia, I do not quite know how to change this and just wanted to point this so somebody can edit it correctly. Thank You very much.
