PUC naming[edit]

Should this not be renamed to Personal Unblocking Code?

As it is defined in the standard as "unblocking" not "unlocking"?

Actually, I think it should be moved to "Personal unblocking code" as in my (perhaps incorrect) judgement it's not really a proper noun. It is a generic (for lack of anything better to call it) noun, and as such, shouldn't be capitalized. There seems to be a widespread misconception that just because a phrase has an initialism it should likewise be capitalized, whereas only initialisms for proper nouns should (e.g., NATO). However, cleaning up the resulting mess (changing all the articles that link to the improper capitalization) is (to me) a large task--one I don't wish to undertake. -- Joe (talk) 02:19, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
