Ribbons?

I wanted to get a fresh view on the pictorial presentation of ribbons and the table in this article under the section entitled "Honours and awards". I'm just about to commence work on this article as part of a slow-burn project getting all the South Australian VCs to FA. To me, the ribbon farm dominates the article and isn't terribly encyclopaedic. In addition, the source for many of them is a dead link, and is contradicted by the medal set bought by the AWM. Some of the Vietnamese awards may not have been accepted for wear in any case. I think that honours and awards would be better presented as they arise as part of the prose, rather than in a separate section with the ribbon display and table. Thoughts? Like @Ian Rose, I've long argued that ribbon sections are problematic and often not encyclopaedic. For what it's worth, I agree that mentions in the prose (where appropriate) and a photograph of Badcoe's medals would be more suitable. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 00:51, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
Short answer: agree. Longer answer: I refer the honourable project members to my statement of 31 December 2018. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 08:43, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
There's a few of these in my sights, so I'm going to be bold in future and see if there is any need for argy-bargy. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 08:47, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
