Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... Peter Chambers made 175 apps scoring 10 gls for Bristol City between 1900 and 1906 he had previously played First Division football in the late 19th century for Blackburn Rovers --Moorehulbert (talk) 13:28, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have added references and more details but this is time consuming for a new comer to Wikipedia. I have been trying to create pages for each of the red entries and check that each blue entry is connected on the Bristol City players (over 100 apps) page but it all takes time. Not a problem. Writing something as simple as 'John Smith (1878 – 1952) was an English professional footballer who made over 100 appearances in the Football League for Bristol City', complete with reference, would more than suffice as a start to an article.
