Lots of work needed on this article[edit]

Filled as it is with interminably long lists of names and productions, plus the whole thing laid out so poorly, this article needs to work to bring it to any acceptable standard. After my Verdi project, I'll begin, but the sooner the better if anyone is interested. Viva-Verdi (talk) 18:27, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright vios, etc.[edit]

The whole of the section on his work with Scottish Opera is selectively lifted from the SO's website list of past perfs. I have removed it.

Although I've tried to give this some structure via sub-heads, have also added "essay" tag, since so much of the text is overly false - as though he wrote it himself!! - and needed neutral POV. Also, don't think that we need keep on saying "Peter" all over the place once we've distinguished him from his father.Viva-Verdi (talk) 20:03, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Date of subject's death[edit]

The date of Ebert's death is noted in every publication listed in the Refs section (as well as on imdb.com, for example), as being 31 December 2012. One editor persists in calling it 25 December, although one source notes that he died on "New Year's Day". Even Glynebourne's history says 31st.

If the editor, User talk:Silpet wants to change this, please provide specific proof of the date of his death from a reliable source. DO NOT SIMPLY CHANGE IT BACK TO 25th WITHOUT EVIDENCE.
