Hi, Some mathematicians and computer science seems to regard him very highly. I saw that his wiki page only had bare minimum information. I would like to see this page expanded. For example, the papers he has written. https://dblp.uni-trier.de/pers/hd/m/Montgomery:Peter_L=

I can confirm that he is highly regarded within the computational number theory and cryptography communities. I came to this page because I just heard he had passed away and was also surprised to find it so sparse. I'll see what I can do to fill it out a bit over the next few weeks.

He is also known in the computer arithmetic community, due to the Montgomery modular multiplication (I've added the link to "See also" as it was not referenced anywhere). In particular, I saw him in several ARITH conferences.

I made several edits, including changing the intro to mention SDC, where he worked for 15+ years and invented Montgomery multiplication, and the things for which he is best known (Montgomery multiplication, Montgomery curves, and the Montgomery ladder), which I think eliminates the need for a "See also" section (but let me know if you disagree). Anyone who works in elliptic curve cryptography will know all three of the terms that bear his name, even if they know nothing else about Peter Montgomery, so I think it makes sense to mention these up front. I added a section on Career and education, but there is still more work to do on the Contributions section. I think it would also be appropriate to include a short list of some of his highest impact papers rather than just giving a dblp link (dblp mostly indexes CS papers and misses many more mathematically focused papers that are indexed in MathSciNet).
