Peter Rowan and The Wild Stallions[edit]

I deleted the 1996 entry for this album. I don't know why I keep seeing this. I suppose it may have been re-released on CD in 1996. At any rate, I am sitting with my LP right now and it says ©1982. I don't see why there should be two entries for one album. If anybody disagrees feel free to edit it and give me your reasoning. Also, if it is ©1982 shouldn't the first entry say 1982? Or was the album actually released in 1981? If so, source? Marshaul (talk) 09:50, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I see on Peter's site that he has it listed as 1996, Amazon.com also has the release date as 1996 (but they are often off). I also have now found at CMT.com two albums listed one in 1981 and one in 1996. The 1981 album does not have an image for the album cover nor a track listing. My guess is that in 1996 there was a reissuing of the album but can not confirm this. Marshaul given that you have the 1981(82) album in front of you can you compare the track listing between what you have and the 1996 release. • The tracklist on my LP is the same as on the CD re-release (obviously so is the cover), so there is no difference between the albums other than the format. Being that this is the case, I feel that only one entry for the album (1981) is appropriate. Do you agree? Marshaul (talk) 01:28, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would agree. There is no reason to list re-issued albums and this one obviously came out in 1981. Thanks! Drumzandspace2000 (talk) 04:30, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • The only other thing I wonder about is the 1981/1982 thing. It seems to me the album was released in 1982. I cannot imagine that the copyright was updated on pressings a year later. So, where does the 1981 thing come from? I'm not going to change the wiki, but I am curious if there is any reason the album would have a release date of 1981 yet my LP says ©1982. • As best as I can recall, the original album was released in Italy! The 1996 version was the first American release. 20.137.30.50 (talk) 20:29, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In 1964, the twenty year old Rowan ...[edit]

If he was born on July 4, 1942, he wasn't twenty in 1964. Either he joined Monroe's band earlier or his birthdate is different or he wasn't twenty when he did it. Tom Duff 16:06, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if he was born in Wayland, he was not born in Boston.2600:1000:B020:F9A:8019:E47:17A3:B9CB (talk) 23:05, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Discography / "High Lonesome Cowboy"[edit]

The link to "Don Edwards" is not the correct Don Edwards. The Edwards reflected in the Peter Rowan Link is a legendary California policitian and not the musician.
