untitled[edit]

Is this the same man as the Peter Townsend linked to from the article Princess Margaret? If not, he needs disambiguating! Phlogistomania 00:40, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)

No - that was the late (??) Group Captain Peter Townsend. This is Professor Peter Townsend of CPAG and other good causes. I _think_ Peter's middle name is Bretherton. I've moved to Peter Townsend (professor)

Pete Towns(h)end also needs a tidy.

I am fairly sure that Peter Townsend is not the origin of the concept of 'Townsend efficiency' so this section should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dhaussmann (talkcontribs) 22:30, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to disambiguate further and flesh out your man (Peter Townsend (Group Captain), I suggest) as you think fit Linuxlad

Obituary[edit]

There is a fairly full obituary, by Prof. Joan Busfield, Univ of Essex, in Network, Newsletter of the British Sociological Association, Spring 2010. Linuxlad (talk) 15:44, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
