Title[edit]

What is the proper title for this work? I found various editions with different titles

Le nouveau petit Robert : dictionnaire alphabétique et analogique de la langue française from WorldCat
Le petit Robert from Google Book
Petit Robert French Dictionary - Le Petit Robert from Amazon

Editions and Background[edit]

Could a review of the older, larger dictionary be summarized here so the reason for and the manner of production of the smaller version could be set in its own historical context? (where are the editors of this book, in fact...missed clarification opportunity...!)

Also, a listing by date of its editions and the editors with primary oversight for them would be of interest. In working from one version, an interesting article in my own line of work seems to have cropped up sometime between the 1969 and 2008 versions, and it would be good to know if that were part of any deliberate efforts to amplify entries in certain areas, or just a random windfall.108.20.41.15 (talk) 09:49, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
