Untitled[edit]

Hello, just wanted to give whomever put this falce statement into the article a chance to fix it: according to the Constitution of Estonia, still is – one of the eleven counties of the Republic of Estonia

§ 122. | The land boundary of Estonia is determined by the Tartu Peace Treaty of 2 February 1920 and by other international boundary agreements.

Even though Russia has withdrawn it's signature, Estonia has signed and ratified THE ESTONIAN-RUSSIAN BORDER TREATY from 18 May 2005, therefore the claim in the article is simply false. | Under the agreement, Russia obtains confirmation of its possession of two areas that were taken from Estonia and attached to the Russian SFSR during the occupation era: the town and environs of Iaanilinn (Ivangorod, opposite Narva) and the district of Petseri (Pechery, now in Pskov region).

Hello, since I haven't seen any progressive activity I'm going to take liberty and rewrite the header and the infobox filled with false statements at my earliest convenience. meanwhile this article is going to be tagged appropriately. Please feel free anybody to help out and set the things straight to be able to remove the tag. Thanks!--Termer (talk) 06:24, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ratification[edit]

This article says:

Estonia and Russia signed and ratified the Estonian-Russian Border Treaty, and it went into effect May 18, 2005: the preamble noted that the international border had partly changed, in accordance with Article 122 of the Estonian Constitution

This is followed by a reference which confirms the ratification by the Estonian parliament. As far as I know Russia never ratified the treaty. Cf. Dubki, Pechorsky District, Pskov Oblast: The unratified 2005 Estonian-Russian border treaty did not change the situation.
Who can confirm that Russia ratified the border treaty? Fransvannes (talk) 20:31, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
