Dumans vs Dyumans[edit]

This topic is staying because you are not the only one who refuses to accept the proper spelling of the word. To anyone thinking of changing it, It's DUMAN. Not Dyuman, or Dyunman, or whatever. Always has been, always will be.

Refuse? i just added the source you gave, and left it as duman, so i'm not refusing. i just wanted a source. there is a source already so at least the reverting will stop for now. i'll leave the discussion here for one day, so unless someone puts "dyumans" without a reliable source, such as an official romanization on famitsu magazine or sega officially announcing "dyumans", then i'll take care of it.Bread Ninja (talk) 12:30, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Official Infinity Guidebook, available in PDF format on Sega's Japanese site for the game, lists the English spellling of the fifth race as "dewman." Yea, doesn't work that way. That guide book is entirely in Japanese, so until we get an official translation of it, anyone can interpret it as they see fit. We have links to official gaming sites that all call them dumans, so until SEGA releases some English announcement calling them dewmans, the official gaming sites like 1UP are all we have to go by. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.113.189.227 (talk) 22:07, 3 March 2011

Until an official English term comes out, I feel the best name to use is "Dewman" as the guide book the only source of information from an official source. In the guidebook, which can be downloaded by clicking the button that says PDF on it at the above site, the term is used on page 3. Give it a rest, every major gaming site that has covered the game has used the word Duman. That is the official name. Not Dewman or Dyuman or Dyunman, or whatever else floats your boat at that particular moment. Like I said before, the guidebook is in Japanese, and your engrish translation is not Wikipedia worthy, no matter how l33t you think it is. Find me an official ENGLISH source that calls them dewmans and I'll leave it be, until then get lost and stop spamming this page.

Gameplay[edit]

The gameplay section of this article is not informative at all. It may be helpful to someone already familiar with Phantasy Star (I wouldn't know), but for someone who is not, it isn't helpful. I'm just wondering as to how this article satisfies the notability criteria.
