Buffalo chapter[edit]

Our watchlist has a redlink for a dormant fraternity, Alpha Omega Delta, the last surviving and original chapter of a small national of that name. It was absorbed by Phi Rho Sigma in 1911, and retained Alpha Omega Delta as its chapter name. Unless the 20th ed. of Baird's is wrong, the current table entry for Phi Rho Sigma, calling this Alpha Omicron Delta, looks like a typo. Jax MN (talk) 22:47, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

The 1927 edition of Baird's lists Alpha Omicron Delta as the name of the University of Buffalo chapter. I am not sure where the "last surviving" info came from. I will go through some of the earlier editions of Baird's to see if I can find the earlier fraternity. Obviously, one edition of Baird's had a mistake. Rublamb (talk) 14:37, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The 6th edition of Baird's includes Alpha Omega Delta, a medical society, with an Alpha chapter at the University of Buffalo. So, the typo appears to be in the 1927 Baird's. Rublamb (talk) 15:18, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
