Comment[edit]

I am an employee of the Philadelphia Art Alliance. We are attempting to start an article on this institution. Each attempt is contested. The information contained on The Philadelphia Art Alliance page is not a copyright infringement. The text belongs to the institution and by that right allows us to post it here. Thank you!

First, wikipedia is not a place for advertisement, it is an encyclopedia. Secondly, if you want to use a verbatim copy of a site's content, the owner of the webpage has to release it under a copyright license. simply stating on the discussion pages "we own it and we want to use it" does not suffice. You can do this by
  • "Mak[ing] a note permitting reuse under the GFDL at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send[ing] an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en at wikimedia dot org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation."
Third, you are clearly acting contrary wikipedia's guidelines against conflict of interest.
Fourth, this article was deleted already by an administrator because of the copyright issue, there is nothing different about this article in its recreation. -Taco325i 16:07, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
