The first trophy clearly reads Rothenberg Trophy Newyearbaby (talk) 17:05, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The source says it was originally the Logan trophy. See WP:Verifiability, not truth. SounderBruce 23:27, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The source is wrong newspapers are wrong sometimes....why remove the photo of the trophy that shows the name of the trophy that I included from my above comment? Google the info you will see there never was a mls cup trophy name for the first commissioner....the information as it stands is incorrect now the 1996-98 trophy from wikipedia no less look at the name on the trophy Newyearbaby (talk) 12:50, 15 July 2018 (UTC) Newyearbaby (talk) 12:50, 15 July 2018 (UTC) I put correct information in and you returned it to incorrect...I won't touch the page again...I tried to fix it ,yes I removed a "source" but google the info will find you plenty of sources to support what I corrected.Newyearbaby (talk) 12:53, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

from the second reference on this page "That gleaming bauble up for grabs in the big game is officially known as the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy. It's been the prize for winning the league title since 2008, when it replaced the second iteration of its predecessor, the Alan I. Rothenberg Cup" Newyearbaby (talk) 12:55, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[1] go the end and look at the trophy used in 1998 you can even see the name briefly. Newyearbaby (talk) 16:52, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[2] please look at the name of the '96 trophy — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.127.12.62 (talk) 01:03, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[3] "The first two MLS championship trophies, which have been paraded around football and soccer stadiums since the very first MLS title match at a wet, windy and cold Foxboro Stadium on Oct. 20, 1996, were named after Rothenberg, one of the founding fathers of the league. Rothenberg, the former U.S. Soccer president, organized and directed the USA's successful World Cup in 1994" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.127.12.62 (talk) 01:10, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[4] History: This is the second incarnation of the Rothenberg trophy, named after the first chairman of MLS. It is larger, cleaner in design and more dramatic than the round one awarded to D.C. United for winning the inaugural MLS championship in 1996. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.127.12.62 (talk) 01:14, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
