Philip HoffmanPhilip Hoffman (disambiguation) – Hi, I propose making "Philip Hoffman" a redirect to "Philip Seymour Hoffman". Using the stats.grok.se tool, I found he gets the most views out of all Philip Hoffmans, so he is clearly the most notable bearer of the name, and so is primary topic for Philip Hoffman in general. • Oppose - Philip Seymour Hoffman isn't known as Philip Hoffman. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:10, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Less commonly, but yes, he is. Powers T 13:24, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose he's called Philip Seymour Hoffman not "Philip Hoffman" -- 70.50.148.122 (talk) 03:34, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not supporting or opposing yet, but I swear there have been cases where a shorter version of a name redirects to a longer one even if there are other notable bearers. Like Hendrix maybe, but I'm looking for cases where "John Foo" redirects to "John Foobar Foo". My mind is drawing a total blank, though.
