You'd think this phobia would be mentioned in a medical journal or something.

The single source that has been provided is clearly to a scammer's website. They try to sell a product to cure phobias. Here's their disclaimer which says it doesn't actually work: http://www.phobia-fear-release.com/disclaimer.html
