I moved all the user images to a gallery. Yea or nay?Brownpau (talk) 17:01, 30 July 2008 (UTC) photo booth :)[reply]

Can anyone give me a link to the Microsoft Windows equivelent of this? — DBK talk 02:32, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added a Linux (and legal mac) alternative but don't know any Windows software--Cosmolux 19:25, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There is a Windows alternative called Snap. http://snapstrip.com/ --24.10.30.15 11:29, 27 March 2007 (UTC):) :) :)[reply]

Please remove the animation on the picture. It's tacky, cheap and irritating. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.189.199.6 (talkcontribs) 12:44, 6 May 2006 (UTC-7)

Well it does display what Photo Booth does. — DBK talk 23:28, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Changed it. I agree, it was annoying, like all animated images. Koweja 21:21, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Added 10.5's Photo Booth Aten2005

Versions[edit]

Apparently there are versions of Photobooth. If you know about the specific details that differ between versions, please create a 'versions' subheading and list the versions and the specific differences/updates that change at each upgrade, as has been done for other apple software products with more than one version. Thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.97.51.123 (talk) 04:57, 11 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

HD Support?[edit]

I laughed when I launched Photo Booth on one of the MacBooks with the HD FaceTime Camera and realized that HD wasn't supported yet. Apparently Apple only wants HD used for video conferencing via FaceTime(?!) In time, say, when 10.7 is available, the article should mention the lack of HD support. And if Apple does happen to update Photo Booth, but still doesn't support HD (which would be insane and cruel, but I wouldn't put it past them), then the article should definitely mention the omission. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.254.83.243 (talk) 02:41, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Software comes and goes. Some time in the future someone will wonder, whatever happened to that PhotoBooth App on the Mac? Describing the app now contemporaneously will make the future article better due to the accuracy of description that is now being created. Kd4ttc (talk) 19:08, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File storage in Yosemite/El Capitan?[edit]

I've found several references that PhotoBooth stores the photo files themselves in "Pictures/Photo Booth Pictures" package file, but this appears to have changed in Yosemite or El Capitan. Anybody know the current spot Apple is using to hide stuff?

I'm sorry that this isn't really about the article, though it certainly could be put in the article. Jimw338 (talk) 17:29, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Past tense?[edit]

Why is this article in the past tense? "Photo Booth was a software application..." It mentions Photo Booth as being in the current version of macOS, High Sierra. Is there any indication that this application has been discontinued? - Brian Kendig (talk) 20:10, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. I had assumed it's no longer available, but I just checked my High Sierra Mac at work, and sure enough, it's there. Go ahead and change the tense. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:34, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Photo Booth under macOS 10.15 Catalina[edit]

Photo Booth is still part of macOS Catalina! My computer runs Catalina (Bought new, no upgrade!) and there is Photo Booth. It might be due to be removed under Big Sur which does feature a architecture upgrade. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:D1:BF1B:1600:AD77:B8FD:7768:3988 (talk) 15:11, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
