Former Southern Railway train?[edit]

Any connection between the Amtrak Piedmont and the Southern Railway's Piedmont Limited? If so, a chapter about it should be added to the article. ----DanTD (talk) 12:30, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

None that I'm aware of, save the similar locale. The Piedmont ran Washington-Atlanta over the same route as the Crescent; the only shared route would be Greensboro-Charlotte. Mackensen (talk) 21:14, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Locomotive Names[edit]

Extension to Wake Forest[edit]

In this article, it mentions that the state is seeking $1.2 billion in federal money to help begin building the S-line, and that the goal is to extend the Piedmont from Raleigh to Wake Forest once developed. Not sure if that should be included or not since that is all that is known at this time and can always subject to change in the future. --WashuOtaku (talk) 15:33, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
