Freight and Passenger Revenue[edit]

I have removed the following sentence because it is not correct:

"This would later prove extremely beneficial, as freight revenues surpassed passenger revenues following World War II."

In fact, as early as 1916, freight revenue ($689.053.43) was nearly double that of passenger ($365,298.66). See: State of North Carolina, Eighteenth Annual Report of the Corporation Commission for the Year Ending December 31, 1916, p. 749.

Be wary of Hilton and Due. This source did not get "everything" correct. It has a number of relatively minor errors - and a few major ones, such as the above. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.168.6.237 (talk) 16:01, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
